A brief look at Columbia in October

Along with the September details we also have a brief rundown of what we can expect in October. The major title this month has to be Jurassic Park which gets the special edition treatment. The movie is released on 9 October alongside its sequel The Lost World and a day earlier than in the US. The UK will only see a Dolby Digital version of the movies being released and extras are expected to match that of the equivalent Region 1 counterpart.

Other key titles include Erin Brockovich which is due on 16 October and will feature a commentary, deleted scenes, a featurette, the theatrical trailer, filmographies and an isolated music score and Dirty Dancing which is due on 30 October.

There are a number of interesting titles due in the rest of October - especially on 23rd when it appears Columbia are going on a 'horror fest' to cash in on Halloween! Here's a full rundown of what's left:

9 October
The Match

16 October
Legends of the Fall: Collectors Edition, Communion, One False Move and The Basketball Diaries

23 October
Permanent Midnight, Night of the Living Dead, Tremors, Village of the Damned, Sleepwalkers, Fright Night and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
