New title announcements and possible delays...

First up we have word from DVD Street that both The Insider and The Hurricane have been postponed. I haven't spoken to Warner's PR people yet, but I am concerned about this for two reasons - firstly because if it is true then the discs probably wont appear until next year, and secondly because our current competition is to win these discs! As soon as I know more it'll be posted here.

Update: Warner's PR company have confirmed that these discs have been delayed - it is not yet known the full details as to why, and they currently know when the discs are likely to be rescheduled. As soon as I know where exactly things stand I'll post it here.

Next, another Warner announcement - this time it's for Pokémon: The First Movie. Whether you like it or not, this disc is coming to Region 2 DVD on 23 October at the outrageous price of £19.99. It will be presented anamorphically at a ratio of 2.35:1 and will feature DD5.1 sound. Extras will include The Story of Mewtwo's origin, a commentary with director Michael Haigney and producer Norman Grossfeld, music videos: 'Don't Say You Love Me' by M2M and 'The Pokémon Rap' and the theatrical trailer. Come on Warner - this disc is aimed at children and £20 is far too much to ask (although it does have the advantage that it gives you more of a reason not to buy it!!!).

Metrodome have confirmed two dates - Sex: The Annabel Chong Story is a pseudo-documentary detailing the 22 year-old's questionable marathon crusade to secure fame and notoriety. The second title is In Too Deep and will feature a 2.35:1 anamorphic picture and DD5.1 sound. Both discs are due on 30 September.
