Fox and Pathé Announcements

Fox and Pathé have announced four titles for release in Region 2 this September.

First up, Pathé are set to release Crying Freeman on 3 September for £15.99. The martial arts classic stars Mark Dacascos (Drive) as Yo, an assasin, and Julie Condra as Emu O'Hara - the unlucky witness of the murder of a Yakuza gangster. The DVD will feature a full-screen transfer and Dolby Digital 2.0 sound along with the theatrical trailer, teaser trailer and a featurette.

Fox have announced three titles for 17 September. Sleeping With The Enemy stars Julia Roberts (The Mexican) as Laura, a woman who fakes her own death in order to escape from her husband - a man who is compulsive, controlling and dangerously violent. After three years of living in dread, Laura fakes drowning in a boat accident and relocates to a mid-Western town. The DVD will feature a 1.85:1 anamorphic transfer, Dolby Digital 2.0 sound, five video clips with Julia Roberts, Patrick Bergin, Kevin Anderson, Joseph Ruben and Leonard Goldberg and the theatrical trailer. Retail price: £15.99.

Kiss Of Death stars Nicholas Cage (Face/Off), Samuel L Jackson (Unbreakable), Helen Hunt (What Women Want) and David Caruso (Rambo: First Blood). Caruso plays ex-con and reformed car thief Jimmy Kilmartin who is trying desparately to go straight whilst simultaneously keeping his hard-drinking wife Bev (Hunt) away from the bottle. After a failed heist, Jimmy is arrested but makes a deal with a detective (Jackson) which will secure his freedom. The £15.99 DVD will feature a 1.85:1 anamorphic transfer, Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, a featurette and video clips of the cast and crew.

Finally, Shining Through stars Melanie Griffith (Another Day in Paradise), Michael Douglas (Traffic), John Gielgud (Elizabeth) and Liam Neeson (Gunshy, Star Wars: Episode One)in a thriller set in wartime Germany. When bi-lingual secretary Linda Voss (Griffith) volunteers to go behind German lines in World War II, she finds herself becoming embroiled in much more danger than she was expecting. Withthe help of fellow spy Sunflower (Gielgud), she manages to penetrate he household of a high-ranking German officer (Neeson) and eventually needs to be plicked from danger by her mysterious boss, Ed Leland (Douglas). The DVD will feature a 2.35:1 anamorphic transfer, Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, a featurette and video clips and will retail for £15.99.
