Two from Metrodome
Metrodome have announced two titles for release on 22 October - The Clash: Rude Boy and Breaking Glass. Both will feature anamorphic transfers and Dolby Digital 2.0 sound.
Rude Boy traces the steps of Ray Gange who quits his dead-end job as a shop clerk to become a roadie for legendary punk band The Clash. Set against a backdrop of the Brixton race riots and counter neo-Nazi demonstrations Ray Gange's narrative of a man with not future is intermixed with concert footage of the band on the brink of stardom in America. The DVD will include extra footage in the way of 'The American Civil War' & 'White Riot' performed by The Clash, an image library and animated menus.
Breaking Glass stars Hazel O'Connor and is the story of punk singer Kate and her meteoric rise to stardom. Starting out in the rock pubs of London, Kate, assisted by her manager Danny becomes a huge star overnight. Once at the top, the pressure is immense as Kate's musicians are squeezed out and she is left to cope alone in the spotlight. The DVD will feature a trailer, filmographies and an image gallery.
