R1 News Round-Up

In general release news Buena Vista have announced the specifications for the DVD Release of their Yuen Woo-Ping supervised edit of Iron Monkey but strangely there is no release date as yet for this title. Expect a 1:85:1 Anamorphic Widescreen Transfer, English Dolby Digital 5.1 Audio, a New Introduction to the film by Quentin Tarantino, an interview with Danny Yuen, the 'Score Piece' Featurette and Trailers. Those details come direct from BV although we suspect their PR department is not used to dealing with films of this ilk (or simply do not care if past releases are anything to go by) but we do expect to see their new Cantonese Audio Track on the DVD and the Danny Yuen interview is more than likely the films star, Donnie Yen! RRP is $29.95.

Those waiting on the Vista Series release of Pearl Harbor will have to wait a little longer at it has now been bumped again from its previous 14th May release to an undisclosed date sometime in the latter half of 2002. To make up for this further delay Buena Vista have said it is now a 4-disc set!
