Building on the achievement of the two Gonin films, Ishii continues to explore his distinctive vision of Tokyo as a dark, forbidding technopolis; a city of faceless chrome and marble structures, cold lights and deep shadows. Boiling Point - When Masaki, a gas station attendant and bit part baseball player incurs the wrath of the local Yakuza, he heads to Okinawa to buy a gun so he can stand up for himself. Whilst there, he is joined in his quest by a former gangster ('BEAT' Takeshi), who has his own reason for getting back at the mob. Violence escalates until the mild-tempered Masaki takes an oil truck from his gas station and drives it straight into Yakuza headquarters.
