Dreamworks announce 'The Time Machine' for July

The 2002 remake of H.G.Wells The Time Machine has been slated for a July 23rd Region 1 DVD release via Dreamworks SKG. Presented in Anamorphic Widescreen with both English DD5.1 and DTS 5.1 Soundtracks alongside French DD5.1, English DD2.0 and Spanish DD2.0 Audio options the disc will also contain the following special features...

  • A behind-the-scenes featurette created especially for the DVD detailing the making of the movie's fantastic creatures from the future, the Morlocks, with an interview with legendary Academy Award-winning visual effects artist Stan Winston
  • An insightful commentary about the making of The Time Machine by the film's director Simon Wells and editor Wayne Wahram
  • A second full-length commentary by producer David Valdes, production designer Oliver Scholl, and visual effects supervisor James E. Price describing how they brought four distinct and uniquely visual worlds to life -- from New York City circa 1899 to 2030 and 2037, then to the distant future
  • A specially created animated sequence featuring a selection of Simon Wells' original storyboards set to music
  • A behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the film's centrepiece, the time machine
  • A deleted scene featuring Guy Pearce and Phillip Bosco
  • An in-depth look at the film's stunning visual effects
The disc will carry a M.A.P of $19.95.
