More TV Series headed for R1 DVD
Universal have announced a slew of American Television series that are now headed for a Region 1 DVD release throughout 2002/2003. Law and Order: The First Season kicks this run of releases off when it arrives on October 15th 2002 with an SRP of $99.98 while Baretta: Season One and The Best of Baretta follow on October 29th 2002 with SRPs of $39.98 and $19.98 respectively.
Law and Order: The First Season will see all 22-episodes of the first season spread across six discs with never before seen extra features that include an introduction by producer Dick Wolf.
Baretta: Season One will see all 13-episodes of the first season spread over three discs while The Best of Baretta will allow those who have not seen the show to get a taster via the inclusion of the little seen series pilot and two bonus episodes featuring the music of Sammy Davis Jr.
The other series planned for release over the next two years are Sci-Fi classics Battlestar Galactica, Sliders, Quantum Leap and Gene Roddenberry's Earth Final Conflict; Jack Webb's Ever-Popular Dragnet and Emergency; and the Groundbreaking TV Detective Series Magnum P.I. and The Rockford Files.
