Liverpool: No Heart As Big

Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard, Emile Heskey, Gerard Houllier…the multi-million pound stars of Liverpool FC can be yours to own this Christmas on DVD and VHS as Warner Home Video release Liverpool: No Heart As Big to buy and rent on 25 November 2002.

Follow the heroes of Anfield through the ups and downs of the 2001/2002 season, as they attempt to become the first team in English football history to successfully defend the Uefa Cup, FA Cup and League Cup after the storming triumphs of 2000/2001. With the added excitement of a Premiership challenge plus competing in the Champion's League there's no doubt that this is a film that will have the Kop on it's feet quicker than a Michael Owen hat-trick!

This superb feature length film takes us from pre-season training in Switzerland all the way to the final kick of the year. This is not just a compilation of match highlights, but includes exclusive interviews and analysis from modern-day Liverpool heroes including Gerard Houllier, Phil Thompson, Michael Owen, Danny Murphy, Emile Heskey, John Arne Riise and Steven Gerrard.

The defining moment of Liverpool's season came in October 2001 when team manager Houllier was hospitalised with chest pains during a match against Leeds United. Shortly afterwards he underwent extensive heart surgery. Liverpool: No Heart As Big follow the efforts of Assistant Manager Phil Thompson as he takes over the reins and immediately leads the boys in Red to the top of the Premiership and receives the Premiership Manager of the Month award. This film provides a unique insight into how the club coped with these traumatic events, as seen through the eyes of the players and coaches.

The city of Liverpool is renowned for the strength of its bond with the fans who sit in the famous Kop at Anfield, and Liverpool: No Heart As Big bears witness to this through interviews with ordinary fans eager to share their passion for the mighty Reds.

Roy Keane: As I See It

The most sought after figure in British sport comes to DVD and VHS this Christmas as Warner Home Video releases the most sensational and revealing football film of the year - Roy Keane: As I See It, to buy and rent on 25 November 2002.

Featuring unprecedented behind-the-scenes access including Roy at home with his family and frank interviews with Roy which demonstrate his trademark tenacity on the pitch, this deeply personal insight into a career dogged by incident but marked by success is compulsory Christmas viewing for anyone interested in football.

He's the most controversial and high profile player in British football. As captain and driving force of Manchester United he's the heartbeat of the biggest club in the world, worshipped by his fans and looked up to by his team-mates. This summer, his name was on everyone's lips and he dominated the front and back pages for weeks as his World Cup involvement came to a tempestuous and premature end. Now you can hear him speak openly about this and see the greatest moments of his career exclusively in Roy Keane: As I See It.

From his early days in Cork through his time at Nottingham Forest under Brian Clough and right up to his present day position as Sir Alex Ferguson's ring-master in the Theatre of Dreams at Old Trafford, this film traces the career of the man who shuns publicity yet can't stay out of the headlines. In candid, never-before-seen interviews Roy reveals his very personal views on other controversial football figures including Sir Alex Ferguson, David Beckham and Mick McCarthy.

He talks openly about representing Ireland and the most notorious incident of all - his clash with Alf Inge Haaland of arch rivals Manchester City. Fellow stars of Manchester United including Ferguson, Beckham, Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt assess his huge contribution to their collective success and express their loyalty to him as a captain and leader.

Away from football, Roy invites us to glimpse his life as a gentle father figure to his young family and the challenges of sheltering them from the public spotlight. He talks of his experiences with the media, most notably following his early return from the 2002 World Cup. This sensational DVD and VHS gives us an insight into the two very different aspects of his life - the confrontational, ultra competitive driving force behind Manchester United's treble winning success on the field, and the quiet family man who has never forgotten his Cork roots.
