Available together for the first time on DVD, Andrew Lau's remarkable special effects extravaganzas THE STORMRIDERS, A MAN CALLED HERO and THE DUEL, collectively known as THE STORMRIDERS TRILOGY, are released by Hong Kong Classics as a special six-disc DVD boxed set on 18th November 2002.
Claiming the titles of both Hong Kong's biggest budget film to date and highest grossing box office hit, Lau's spectacular THE STORMRIDERS is a visually stunning epic fantasy based on Ma Wing Shing's best-selling comic book series. Two young heroes, Wind (Ekin Cheng) and Cloud (Aaron Kwok), must combine their physical skills and magical powers to overcome the evil Warlord Conquer's (Sonny Chiba) plans to rule the world. Explosive martial arts action and breathtaking special effects make THE STORMRIDERS an unmissable experience.

Again inspired by the comic book work of Ma Wing Shing, A MAN CALLED HERO stars Ekin Cheng (The Avenging Fist; Zu Warriors) as Hero, a martial arts master who is forced to flee to New York, leaving behind those he loves. Years later, Hero is a wanted man in hiding, attempting to rebuild his life and preparing his revenge. Full of dazzling special effects and fight scenes, A MAN CALLED HERO set new standards in Hong Kong filmmaking and features the now-legendary epic battle atop the Statue of Liberty.

Another special effects bonanza from Andrew Lau, THE DUEL also stars Ekin Cheng alongside the director's namesake Andy Lau in a tale of two mythical warriors facing off in the battle of a lifetime to determine who is the world's greatest swordsman. Once again, Lau pulls out all the stops to provide a visually stunning treat for all fans of martial arts, action and fantasy films.

The six-disc THE STORMRIDERS TRILOGY boxed set is released on DVD by Hong Kong Classics on 18th November 2002 and includes THE STORMRIDERS, A MAN CALLED HERO and THE DUEL. Each film is presented in its respective original widescreen director's cut and its full screen English version. All three films come with a host of special features including ‘Making of' featurettes, 5.0 Dolby Digital sound, theatrical trailers, talent biographies and filmographies, production stills galleries, scene selection and full interactive moving menus.
