Despite its troubled conception and change of director Ant-Man was a decent hit for Disney and following the events of Avengers: Endgame and Marvel's announcement of their Phase 4 slate there was some question over the future of the Ant-Man series. Thankfully, that question is now answered.

Marvel have now confirmed that a third Ant-Man film will indeed make up part of their future MCU plans with Peyton Reed returning to direct for the third time and a Summer 2022 release on the cards. The stars of the first two films are also set to return with Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas all on board.

The Marvel juggernaut is set to kick off again on 1st May 2020 with the release of Black Widow launching Phase 4 and staring Scarlett Johansson, this will then be followed by The Eternals on 6th November 2020.
