Van Helsing in October

Universal Studios Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Van Helsing for 19th October 2004. This special effects laden summer blockbuster from director Stephen Sommers sees the legendary vampire hunter Van Helsing (Hugh Jackman) summoned to mysterious Transylvania on a holy mission that will thrust him into a sweeping battle against the forces of darkness.

Arriving in separate anamorphic widescreen and full screen single-disc editions ($29.98 each), there will also be a three-disc "Ultimate Collector's Edition" ($54.98) that features the anamorphic widescreen single disc version alongside a second disc of extras, and a third disc with the original classic monster movies that inspired Van Helsing.
