Bloodshot trailer: Vin Diesel becomes a biotech killing machine

Bloodshot (2017)
Dir: Chad Stahelski, David Leitch | Cast: N/A | Writers: Eric Heisserer, Jeff Wadlow

Compared to many of the superheroes featuring in the Marvel and DC universes, the character of Bloodshot is nowhere near as well known by Joe Public. He'll be leading yet another shared universe, this one drawing upon the work of Valiant Comics, with two adaptations from their Harbinger series set to follow in the next few years. The Bloodshot comic first appeared at the start of the '90s and Vin Diesel taking the lead role, Sony will be banking on his star power to turn it into a box office success. After he and his wife are murdered, Marine Ray Garrison is resurrected by a secret team of scientists. Enhanced with nanotechnology, he becomes a superhuman, biotech killing machine – Bloodshot. As Ray first trains with fellow super-soldiers, he cannot recall anything from his former life. But when his memories flood back and he remembers the man that killed both him and his wife, he breaks out of the facility hellbent on revenge, only to discover that there’s more to the conspiracy than he originally thought.

Dave Wilson is directing his debut film with a cast led by Vin Diesel, and Eiza González, Sam Heughan, Guy Pearce and Toby Kebbell also featuring.

Bloodshot arrives in UK and US cinemas on February 21, 2020.
