Mulan trailer: Liu Yifei brings honour to her family
Disney's 'live-action' remakes keep on coming with a first look at their new version of Mulan. While Aladdin wasn't well received by the critics, it has cleaned up at the box office, and The Lion King (which isn't exactly 'live') arrives in a couple weeks and looks set to be one of the biggest films of the year. This is not one of the prominent titles in the Disney animation catalogue and this version doesn’t stick rigidly to the original, changing some of the plot and removing most of the songs. So much so that the synopsis itself states it is 'based' on the 1998 film, rather than being a straight remake. The first trailer for Mulan arrived during the Women's World Cup final and you can watch it above now.
