Easter Egg

On hand to talk about the making of the film were producer Michael G Wilson, screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, Second Unit Director Vic Armstrong, Production Designer Peter Lamont, Special Effects Supervisor Chris Corbould, Model Effects Supervisor John Richardson, Costume Designer Lindy Hemming, Make Up Artist Paul Engelen and - for a limited time only - actor Toby Stephens (Gustav Graves). I was lucky enough to interview Paul Engelen and Lindy Hemming for DVD Times and these will appear at the time of release.

Simpson presented the press with a sneak preview of the Trivia Track version of the film, as well as odd snippets from the many special features. The trivia text has been done differently to other films I’ve seen in that it appears, one nugget at a time, in little blue boxes that appear continuously in different areas of the screen. When a behind-the-scenes featurette is automatically activated, the film picture is reduced down to about an 1/8th of the screen and the featurette plays alongside the relevant scene (such as the waterfall finale of the pre-credits sequence).

Die Another Day, the most feature-packed Bond DVD yet, will be released to buy and rent from Friday 2 May 2003 (RRP £24.99).
