Charlie's Angels trailer: Naomi Scott, Ella Balinska and Kristen Stewart are the new generation

Charlie's Angels (2019)
Dir: Elizabeth Banks | Cast: Elizabeth Banks, Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, Noah Centineo | Writers: Ben Roberts (characters), Carlo Bernard, Craig Mazin, David Auburn (screenplay), Doug Miro, Elizabeth Banks (screenplay), Ivan Goff (characters), Jay Basu (screenplay), Semi Chellas

Bright, colourful and ever-so kitsch, the reboot of Charlie's Angels back in 2000 looks like a completely different beast to this reprisal of the classic '70s TV show. Gone are Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz, and in come Naomi Scott, Ella Balinska and Kristen Stewart, with writer-director-actress Elizabeth Banks taking on the role of Bosley. By the looks of the trailer it seems to be a pretty generic action film, so hopefully the cast can add some spark to it. Watch the first trailer for Charlie’s Angels above.

Charlie’s Angels have always provided security and investigative skills to private clients, and now the Townsend Agency has expanded internationally, with the smartest, most fearless, most highly trained women all over the globe – multiple teams of Angels guided by multiple Bosleys taking on the toughest jobs across the world. When a young systems engineer blows the whistle on a dangerous technology, these Angels are called into action, putting their lives on the line to protect us all.

Banks is writing, directing as well as starring, with Sam Claflin, Noah Centineo, Djimon Hounsou and Patrick Stewart all in support.

Charlie's Angels is released on November 15 in the US, and two weeks later in the UK on November 29.
