The Dead Don't Die new trailer: Jim Jarmusch’s Cannes-opener gets a bloody trailer
After all the usual build-up, this year’s Cannes festival finally got underway last night. Jim Jarmusch’s The Dead Don’t Die kicked things off and there will be a slew of films to come over the next 11 days. Our own Alistair Ryder is out in the thick of things on the French Riviera (well, mostly in dark rooms watching moving images) and you can read his review here. The new red band trailer for The Dead Don’t Die was released shortly after the film made its premiere and you can check it out above right now.
In the sleepy small town of Centerville, something is not quite right. The moon hangs large and low in the sky, the hours of daylight are becoming unpredictable, and animals are beginning to exhibit unusual behaviours. News reports are scary, and scientists are concerned. But no one foresees the strangest and most dangerous repercussion that will soon start plaguing Centerville: the dead rise from their graves and feast on the living, and the citizens must battle for their survival.
Jarmusch deals with script duties, with the all-cast star featuring Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Chloë Sevigny, Steve Buscemi, Danny Glover, Caleb Landry Jones, Rosie Perez, Tom Waits, Sara Driver, RZA, Selena Gomez, Carol Kane and Iggy Pop.
The Dead Don't Die opens in the US on 14th June and July 12th in the UK.
