Pavarotti trailer: Ron Howard pays homage to the opera legend

Most people in the UK will remember Pavarotti for his rendition of Nessun Dorma which became the soundtrack to the Italia ‘90 World Cup. His career as a tenor stretched back to 1961 until he retired a year before his death in 2006, having sold over 100 million records. Pavarotti is the second musical legend to be tackled by Ron Howard, following on from his Beatles documentary a few years ago. The use of Dolby Atmos will try to bring audiences into the cinematic experience in a film that is also be lauded for its cinematography. Watch the trailer for Pavarotti above to get a first look.

The documentary lifts the curtain on the icon who brought opera to the people. Ron Howard puts audiences front row centre for an exploration of The Voice…The Man…The Legend. Luciano Pavarotti gave his life to the music and a voice to the world. This cinematic event features history-making performances and intimate interviews, including never-before-seen footage and cutting-edge Dolby Atmos technology.

Pavarotti opens in the UK on July 15th.
