New Lucy in the Sky trailer: Natalie Portman leaves outer space but it hasn't left her

Lucy in the Sky (2019)
Dir: Noah Hawley | Cast: Dan Stevens, Jon Hamm, Natalie Portman, Zazie Beetz | Writers: Brian C. Brown, Elliott DiGuiseppi, John-Henry Butterworth (revisions by), Noah Hawley (revisions by)

This was formerly known as Pale Blue Dot (a pretty lame title) but the big question is, will they hammer home the new name with use of The Beatles song? As great as it is, hopefully not, although the piano tinkle at the start isn't a good sign. Noah Hawley's Lucy In The Sky brings together the talents of Natalie Portman and Zazie Beetz - which we hope could lead to something quite special. This is the second trailer for a film that is being launched to orbit the upcoming award season, although as always, there will be tough competition. Take a look at the new trailer for Lucy In The Sky which you can check out above.

The film centres on a married astronaut who returns to Earth after a mission and begins an affair with a fellow astronaut. She heads into a downward spiral as she loses her connection to her family — a condition that can afflict those who spend a long time in space — and when her lover beings another affair with an astronaut trainee, the bottom drops out.

Hawley (writer of Fargo and Legion TV shows) gets a shot at his first feature film, with Jon Hamm, Dan Stevens, Nick Offerman, Ellen Burstyn and Tig Notaro all in the supporting cast.

Lucy In The Sky arrives in the US on October 4 and in the UK on December 6.
