New Triple Frontier trailer: Ben Affleck plans to rob a violent drug cartel

‎Most people love a good heist movie and it’s a durable sub-genre that continues to entertain. Earlier in the year we had the more traditional Den of Thieves, while Widows offered a multi-layered variation. Director J.C. Chandor has been quiet since 2014’s A Most Violent Year and he is set to return in a few months with a new heist flick called Triple Frontier. It sees him team up with Oscar Isaac again, in a story about a team of ex-Special Forces operatives putting themselves in front of their country. Check out the new trailer for Triple Frontier above to see more.

Five former Special Forces operatives reunite to plan a heist in a sparsely populated multi-border zone of South America. For the first time in their prestigious careers these unsung heroes undertake this dangerous mission for self instead of country. But when events take an unexpected turn and threaten to spiral out of control, their skills, their loyalties and their morals are pushed to a breaking point in an epic battle for survival.

Chandor writes and directs, with the cast led by Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund and Pedro Pascal.

Triple Frontier will be released in select cinemas on March 6th before landing on Netflix on the 13th.

Netflix is an American entertainment company founded by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph on August 29, 1997, in Scotts Valley, California. It specialises in and provides streaming media and video-on-demand online. In 2013, Netflix expanded into film and television production, as well as online distribution.
