Wright Gets A Hot Fuzz Friend Back
Slowly but surely, the cast for Edgar Wright’s final chapter to The Cornetto Trilogy, The World’s End is being gathered and now Variety reports that Paddy Considine has just been added to the list.
Polishing off this triple scoop of comedy gold, The World’s End reunites director Edgar Wright with his Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz pals Simon Pegg (who reprises his co-writing duties) and Nick Frost. This time their film follows a group of five friends who reunite to have another go at a pub crawl they failed years before. Now living adult lives that didn’t work out the way they wanted, the team trek through their alcohol-filled adventure in an effort to reach the last pub on the list; The World’s End. Unbeknownst to them however, this journey eventually turns out playing a valuable part in the future of humanity.
It’s good to hear that Considine is having another go at busting his comedy chops considering how he handled Hot Fuzz. This time The World’s End will see him as a failed architect who was quite the ladies man back in his younger years, so we’ll have to wait and see how he handles that when the film arrives later next year.
