First Look at Carrie Remake
There are plenty of memorable moments in Brian De Palma’s Carrie. Whether it’s the Psycho strings whenever Carrie has a funny turn, or the final scare when she lends a hand to guilt-ridden, Sue. For many though, it’s that vivid image of Sissy Spacek covered in pigs blood that’ll always stick. As well as the titular tormented girl, there’s also a first look at Julianne Moore as Carrie’s God-fearing mother, Margaret, who looks all kinds of crazy and a perfect fit for the role.
Even with this iconic image showing a lot of faith to the original, there’s still a lot of pressure on director Kimberly Peirce. Fingers crossed then, that with the talent involved this Carrie doesn’t fall into the abyss along with all the other naff horror remakes of recent years...
