British Celebrities to feature in ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water’

Brit stars will make a splash in the big-screen outing of the Nickelodeon favourite.

Paramount Pictures have announced that four British celebrities will feature as Antonio Banderas’ seagull side-kicks in the upcoming SpongeBob Squarepants movie.

Comedian and TV personality Alan Carr, singer and TV presenter Stacey Solomon and YouTube sensations Joe Sugg (Thatcher Joe) and Caspar Lee have re-voiced comedy characters exclusively for the UK, joining fellow Brit actor and comedian Matt Berry (Bubbles the Dolphin).

Based on the highly acclaimed Nickelodeon TV series, ‘THE SPONGEBOB MOVIE: SPONGE OUT OF WATER,’ from Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Movies, sees SpongeBob Squarepants, the world’s favourite sea dwelling invertebrate, come ashore to our world for his most super-heroic adventure yet. The movie, which has already grossed more than $160m worldwide, stars Antonio Banderas, Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence and Mr. Lawrence.

The film will preview in selected areas on Saturday March 21 and Sunday March 22 before general release on Friday March 27.
