This is Spinal Tap (US BD) in July

MGM Home Entertainment have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of This is Spinal Tap on 28th July 2009 priced at $34.99 SRP. Rob Reiner’s directorial debut is this spoof music documentary starring Christopher Guest, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer as the three members of the fictional heavy-metal/hard rock band Spinal Tap. Satirizing the wild personal behavior and musical pretensions of hard-rock and heavy-metal bands, This is Spinal Tap presents a second-rate band made up of aging band members who are desperately trying to cling onto what little fame they used to have.

This Blu-ray Disc release features cast and crew commentary, deleted scenes, music videos and more. Also included is a DVD with brand new exclusives featuring Spinal Tap’s 2007 Live Earth reunion performance of their hit “Stonehenge” at Wembley Stadium and Nigel Tufnel’s interview for the National Geographic Stonehenge special.
