Street Kings (US BD) in August

Fox Home Entertainment have announced the US Region A Blu-ray Disc release of Street Kings on 19th August 2008 priced at $39.98 SRP. Keanu Reeves and Forest Whitaker star in this police thriller directed by David Ayer (Harsh Times) from a story by James Ellroy. Street Kings follows veteran LAPD Detective Tom Ludlow (Reeves), a disillusioned cop who sets out on a quest to solve the murder of his former partner. With the help of his boss and mentor Captain Jack Wander (Whitaker), Ludlow begins a crusade to serve his own form of justice, breaking the rules of conduct on a regular basis and avoiding the watchful eye of Internal Affairs Captain James Biggs (Hugh Laurie). In the end Ludlow will be forced to question the loyalties of everyone involved and the truth will finally come to pass.

Arriving day-and-date on a 50GB dual-layer disc authored in BD-J with AVC (MPEG 4) compression and English 5.1 DTS HD Lossless Master Audio and French / Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital audio, extras include all of the content from the DVD release plus a Blu-ray exclusive. You also get a second disc with a standard definition bonus digital copy that you can transfer to your computer and portable video devices.
