Open Season (BD) in January

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced the US Region A Blu-ray Disc release of Open Season for 30th January 2007 priced at $38.95 SRP. Inspired by the humour of Steve Moore, creator of the nationally (in the USA) syndicated comic strip, "In The Bleachers", Open Season is an action adventure about the unlikely friendship between Boog -- a domesticated bear -- and Elliot, a one-antlered mule deer, as they join with other animals to take back the forest from the hunters. The voice cast includes Ashton Kutcher, Martin Lawrence, Debra Messing and Gary Sinise with songs provided by Paul Westerberg, front-man for The Replacements.

Sony's first title to be encoded in MPEG-4 AVC, Open Season on Blu-ray Disc features hours of activities. Presented in 1080P Widescreen with English (PCM 5.1 Uncompressed and DD5.1), French and Spanish (DD5.1) audio and subtitle options the disc contains loads of added-value features in high-definition including:
