Highlander (UK BD) in July

Optimum Home Entertainment have announced the UK Blu-ray Disc release of Highlander (Special Edition) on 6th July 2009. Christopher Lambert and Clancy Brown are two of the remaining immortals who gather to fight it out in order to lay claim to 'the prize' in this eighties sci-fi adventure. Also starring Sean Connery, Roxane Hart, Jon Polito, Sheila Gish and Celia Imrie, Highlander was directed by Russell Mulcahy and features an original score by Michael Kamen and Queen.

Coded for all regions, features include:

  • Deleted Scenes (HD) – new to the UK - Whilst creating the HD Master, it was noticed that there were five scenes that were either longer or had been edited differently to the scenes in the final Highlander version. As we didn’t have audio for these scenes, we could not include them in the film. We therefore laid music under these scenes and made them available as Deleted Scenes on the Blu-ray.
