Amazon UK -- As expected Amazon have gone all-in on Black Friday with daily deals and lightning deals backed up by thousands of discounts across the entire site. Every day you can expect 'Deal of the Day' 24hr deep discounts on selected products and product lines, hundreds of lightning deals running 24/7, and on top of that frequent price-matching of competitors. They also have compelling week-long offers on selected products including their own Amazon devices and Xbox and Playstation consoles, and you'll also find various 'service' offers such as discounted/free trials for Amazon Music and Kindle Unlimited.
Amazon Echo 2nd Generation Devices were launched a little under a month ago but you can already grab some great discounts. So far you can save £20 on the Echo 2nd Gen Speaker and £30 on the Echo Plus, and it's expected that the Echo Show will be discounted by £50 shortly. They've also discounted the popular Echo Dots by £15.
Other favourites include the always excellent Kindle Paperwhite E-reader is reduced to £79.99 (saving £30) and the massively popular Fire TV Stick with Alexa reduced to just £24.99 (saving £15).
Their Fire Tablet range has seen reductions across the board with £20 off the Fire 7 (starting at £29.99), £30 off the Fire HD 8 (starting at £49.99), £40 off the Fire HD 10 (starting at £109.99) and £30 and £40 savings respectively on the new Fire 7 (£69.99) and Fire 8 (£89.99) Kids Editions.
Elsewhere on the site Amazon Warehouse has 20% off ALL open-box and used products. With a great returns policy it's always worth checking out these often barely touched 'used' products for some big savings.
Amazon services on offer include:
These offers are for NEW subscribers only - if you've previously subbed or used trials you probably won't even see the offers when logged in to your account.
Another favourite from Amazon are the Dash buttons and this year they have the entire range reduced to £1.99. The way it works usually is you pay £4.99 for a Dash button and get £4.99 off your first order - so here you're paying £1.99 for the Dash button and still receiving £4.99 off your first order - effectively a £3 discount on whatever product you go for. They also double up nicely as a DIY project for a smart home remote control (should you not want to use it beyond the first order) and failing that you can just crack them open to retrieve a AAA battery. And to answer a common question - yes you can order more than one of the same type Dash button to get multiple discounts on the same products.
Finally Prime members get the usual perks - free delivery on everything sold/fulfilled by Amazon, early access to Lightning Deals, 1-day delivery or the No-Rush option with the £1 Amazon Video/Kindle credit (great on the Dash buttons if you order them separately). There's also the easily forgotten Prime Now section of the site which gives Prime members in selected parts of the country access to Black Friday deals with 2hr delivery times.
"14 Days of Deals and Amazing Prices" is the Argos promise and this is currently backed up by some discount codes as part of their Flash Sale ending Tuesday 21st November. FLASH20 gives you 20% off selected items across a variety of departments while FLASH10 gives you 10% off TVs and Computing over £499. They also have IPAD10 and IPAD5 codes for 10% and 5% discounts on iPad Pro and iPad tablets respectively.
"Our lowest ever Black Tag prices" is how Currys are describing their sale, and to be fair they're extremely competitive of late with good prices, extended warranties on the more expensive items and regular discount codes. This sale is no exception with some great prices on TVs that are made all the sweeter when combined with 5yr warranties and 10% discount codes.
Current Discount Codes include 10% off some of the best TVs on the market including the jaw-dropping LG OLED screens - this particular offer ends Tuesday 21st November so get in quick or hope they replace it with something similar. They also have 10% off a range of large and built-in kitchen appliances, 10% off Surface Laptops and Medion Laptops, 30% off PC Gaming Accessories including racing wheels, gaming mice and mechanical keyboards. And a whole lot more!
"7 days of Amazing Deals" kicked off Monday 20th Nov online and then begins in-store the following day. It's a familiar story - week-long discounts across various product ranges plus 1-day offers on selected products and product ranges.
Reebok and Adidas
These sporting giants are owned by the same parent company so their sales are very similar. Both are now live with up to 50% off sale items + an additional 30% off everything (automatic discount when adding to basket with Reebok, whereas Adidas asks you to enter code BLACKFRIDAY during checkout). You also get free shipping with no min spend for the duration of the sale. Both stores have the same excellent free 100 days returns policy.
They're not owned by the same parent company as Reebok and Adidas but the sale setup is eerily similar. Up to 50% off sale + an extra 30% off sale items with code BF30 during checkout. They've also made shipping free with no min spend for the duration of the sale, and have an equally good free returns policy which is currently extended to 60 days.
Black Friday deals - our picks
Amazon Devices are always popular and rightly so. The Kindle Paperwhite is the standard for e-readers while the new Echo speakers are incredibly popular amongst smart home aficionados. Then there's the Fire Stick for easy media streaming and a range of Fire Tablets with good performance and a price point for everyone. Amazon do of course have all of them on offer but you don't have to buy them from Amazon. Argos, Currys, John Lewis, Maplin and Tesco Direct all sell them, usually for the same price, but often for slightly less (99p saving when buying from Tesco Direct) or with an added bonus (1yr extra warranty with John Lewis, bonus voucher codes with Maplin).
Here's the price list...
Echo Dot - £34.99 (£34 at John Lewis & Tesco)
Amazon Echo (2nd Generation) -- £69.99 (£69 @ Tesco Direct)
Amazon Echo Plus (with free Philips Hue E27 Light Bulb)
-- £109.99 (£109 @ Tesco Direct) --
*View 'Special Offers' to find the Free Light Bulb bundles
**View the 'Bundles' tab to find the Free Light Bulb bundles
***No free light bulb offer
Kindle Paperwhite E-reader -- £79.99 (£79 @ John Lewis & Tesco)
Amazon Fire Tablets
The full range of Fire Tablets are now on offer with £20 off the Fire 7 (starting at £29.99), £30 off the Fire HD 8 (starting at £49.99), £40 off the Fire HD 10 (starting at £109.99) and £30 and £40 savings respectively on the new Fire 7 (£69.99) and Fire 8 (£89.99) Kids Editions. The links above take you to the entire ranges on offer by the respective retailers though as you might expect, only Amazon have the full range (all colours, models, storage sizes and the option to buy without special offers on the standby screen).
Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote -- £24.99
Save £15 on their popular media streaming stick.
Not to be outdone, Google have their Echo rivals Google Home and Google Home Mini discounted by £51.50 and £15 respectively, putting each device squarely in the same price bracket as the Echo 2nd Gen and Echo Mini. Which will you pick?
Google Home £77.50 | Google Home Mini £34
Going up against the Fire TV Stick is the Google Chromecast which is reduced to £19 @ Tesco Direct, John Lewis and Maplin, but if you want free delivery you'll have to pay £19.99 @ Currys. As a bonus you also get 2 months of Now TV Cinema Pass included via redemption - this is a Google offer so it doesn't matter if the retailer pages don't mention it - see the redemption page for more.
Another staple of Black Friday are the Playstation and Xbox console bundles with both Sony and Microsoft putting forth some great offers that are available across multiple retailers. Competition is fierce so each store tries to one-up the next by offering extra discounts or throwing in extras to the bundles. 2017 is no exception with Sony offering some very enticing PS4 Pro and PSVR bundles while Microsoft is pushing the Xbox One S with multiple games at a very competitive £199.99 price point. Sony are also teasing regular PS4 offers from Thursday at 8pm. There are far too many to list each and every bundle, but here's the pick of the offers so far...
Playstation VR - Sony have released a new Starter Pack for Black Friday that bundles the PS VR headset, Playstation Camera, VR Worlds game + your choice of either GT Sport or Skyrim. The price is £249.99 with only pennies separating retailers (probably in part due to low stock levels)...some are also offering the bundle + Move controllers for £299.99. The Currys bundle includes Fallout 4 for no extra cost.
24/11 Update: Down to £239.99 @ Argos.
Playstation 4 Pro - Standard RRP is £349.99 and more recently the Fifa 18 bundle has been available for the same price. For Black Friday we've got two main offerings at £299.99, both giving you the console with 2 new games:
#1 PS4 Pro Fifa 18 Bundle + Call of Duty WWII or Gran Turismo Sport £299.99
#2 PS4 Pro Console (White or Black) + Call of Duty WWII + GT Sport £299.99
The links above take you to the general PS4 Pro bundle pages for each retailer. Not all retailers are offering both bundles and for the most part prices are the same. View 'Special Offers' on Argos to view the game bundles. Game have a bevy of other bundle options for £319.99 but the £299.99 offers are better (yet they're pushed to the bottom of the list for some reason so scroll to the bottom). Shopto have the option to add some additional games at very competitive prices during checkout.
Playstation 4 Slim - For just £199.99 you can pick up a PS4 Slim Bundle (Star Wars Battlefront II, Call of Duty WWII or Fifa 18 bundles are available) with a free copy of Gran Turismo Sport and a selected free 'Playlink' title. The latter are new budget releases which are basically party games that let multiple people participate using their phones as a controller.
Other than a free copy of Fallout 4 with these bundles at Currys the offers across retailers are mostly the same. I've included a link to Shopto's ebay store as they have a much better range than the main site.
On the Microsoft side, Xbox One S 500GB bundles are available from £169.99 with a single pack-in digital game (Assassin's Creed Origins, Forza Horizon 3, Rocket League, Minecraft or Middle-Earth: Shadow of War).
Here's a breakdown of what's on offer across the different retailers:
Amazon are keeping it simple with just the base bundles at £169.99.
Argos also have the full range of base bundles available for £169.99 and you can choose to add Forza 7 for just £10 extra. To find the bundle offers select the main console bundle from the linked page and then click/tap the 'Special Offers' link on the product page. From there you can 'build your offer'.
Currys have the Forza Horizon Hot Wheels, Minecraft, Rocket League and Assassin's Creed Origins bundles on offer for £169.99 but they throw in Fallout 4 and DOOM for no extra cost. From there you can pay a little extra for Forza 7 (£10 extra) and/or 3 months of Xbox Live (£8.98 extra).
ShopTo have the Forza Horizon 3 Hot Wheels Bundle and Assassin's Creed Origins Bundle for £169.85 plus you can choose to add one of Dishonored 2, Fallout 4 or DOOM complete free. During the bundle creation process you can also add some extra games at very good prices including Forza 7 for £9.85, Prey for £9.85, The Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein 2 for £18.85 each, GTA V for £22.85, Call of Duty WWII for £29.86, Star Wars Battlefront II for £34.85 and Fallout 4, DOOM and Dishonored 2 for £5.86 each.
Tesco Direct have the base bundles for £175 which isn't very competitive, but you can add Forza 7 free which swings things back in their favour!

Green Man Gaming and Fanatical also have additional discounts via discount codes advertised on the sites so be sure to use them.
Hard drives, USB Memory Sticks and SD Cards - they're not the most exciting items to shop for but they're almost as essential these days as clothes. Consoles, Computers, Cameras and err...Cellphones combined with our growing digital libraries means everyone can use more storage.
