Lynda Carter joins Supergirl season two, Arrow finds its season five villain

The news juggernaut that is the casting for the next seasons of The CW's Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends Of Tomorrow continues.

Comicbookresources.com has reported that former Wonder Woman herself Lynda Carter has been cast in a recurring role as the President of the United States in season two of Supergirl. She will make her debut in episode three and then appear in a regular capacity.

Meanwhile IGN.com has confirmed that The Walking Dead's Chad L. Coleman has been cast as Arrow season five's big new villain Tobias Church. The show looks set to move away from the superpowered Damien Darhk of season four with Church 'an imposing gangster looking to unite the various criminal enterprises in Star City under his own singular command.'. There was recent rumours that the season's villain would be inspired by The Wire's drug lord Stringer Bell and Church certainly fits that bill.

And in another intriguing bit of news, The Flash star Grant Gustin has revealed on Twitter that the first episode of season three will be called Flashpoint, all but confirming that the third season will be using the fallout of the season two finale The Race Of His Life to adapt the famous comic story to screen.
