The Fix List: KEV

2017 is going to be Swedish dream-pop four-piece KEV’s year. Despite a hectic schedule – including sharing studio time with will.i.am no less – around the re-release of their debut EP Chapter X, the Capitol signees generously share with us some of their formative music.

Bon Iver - '33 “GOD”'

Bon Iver is just such a great musician and artist. He goes his own way and never stops surprising. ’33 “GOD”’ has everything: melodies, a cool instrumental and some random things. That’s what you need. Bon Iver has from the start been an inspiration to us.

M83 - 'Midnight City'

Classic song. Never gets old, a masterpiece that works in every type of mood. Inspired us a lot, because of its unique sound and because it stands out a lot from other tracks out there.

Röyksopp, Robyn - 'Do it Again'

Really cool track, perfect party track. I love Robyn’s voice, she has this melancholic voice that makes even this track sound a bit sad, which is cool!

The Weeknd, Daft Punk - 'Starboy'

The Weeknd is doing his own thing, and with this track he, again, breaks the boundaries.

XOV - 'Lucifer'

XOV is a Swedish artist who inspired us a lot in the beginning. He has a very cool aura, with aggressive lyrics and an instrumental that feels very Nordic inspired.

Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams - 'Get Lucky'

Get Lucky is a really nice track that makes you realize how great these artists are. It’s very simple but very cool at the same time. Shout out to Pharrell Williams for the cool voice!

Flume, Kai - 'Never Be Like You'

Again, an artist that inspires us a lot because of the fact that he goes his own way. You can hear it’s a Flume track almost straight away.

Coldplay - 'Hymn for the Weekend'

Coldplay has it all. Chris Martin’s voice, the music, the live performance. So good!

The Chainsmokers, Halsey - 'Closer'

The Chainsmokers have had a phenomenal journey. From being the DJs who did the infamous ‘Selfie’, to now making really good quality music. ‘Closer’ is amazing!

Zayn - 'Like I Would'

Since Zayn did his own thing, the music has just got better and better. His voice works really well with his new type of style, R&B meets edgy pop, and this song is the bomb!
