Check out Cassini's last stunning photo of Saturn's "Death Star" moon Mimas

As NASA's Cassini probe comes to the end of its mission it has been taking its final few images of Saturn and surrounding bodies. There have been some great pics but it's this final image of Mimas, the so-called Death Star moon, that has left us breathless.

It's actually made up from a mosaic of 10 wide angle images captured from a distance of around 28,000 miles and shows the battle-scarred moon in more detail than we've seen before. Click the image to enlarge and view in its full glory.



Not only do we have this beautiful image fully lit by the Sun, Cassini also captured the dark side of the moon too. Check that out below.
